Wire Wrap Jewelry Workshop

Join Stacey for her beginner wire wrapping workshop. The class will cover how to select a stone (which shapes work best, and which shapes are more challenging to work with as a beginner) She’ll show you how to select a wire gauge that’s appropriate for the stone you pick and give you a rundown on the types of wires you can use that are easily accessible at a hardware store (since not all small towns have craft and jewelry stores!)

You’ll learn how to wrap the stone, make a nice and sturdy bail, different ways you can add finishing touches to the wrap. Also covered will be how to tie slipknots for adjustable necklaces or make a braided chain and time permitting  she’ll show you how to tie macrame too!!

Cost $30 includes all materials.

Hat Repair Clinic
Our workshop for this weekend is more of an informal drop in.  Running from 9-11, bring your current sad hat and have it redesigned by Carmen of MelonHead KnitWear.  Need a replacement pompom?  want to add a few vintage buttons?  Give that tired old hat a modern redo.
If you’ve decided that hat absolutely cannot be saved, she will have kits for you to knit your own hat or if you really want to, she won’t stop you from buying a new one.
